The Run for Peace is an annual
event that attracts runners and walkers from all over the bay area to our
scenic Berkeley Marina. This year’s scheduled date of September
15th will coincide with the Opening Week of the United
Nations in

studies in the community. The East Bay
Chapter supports educators in
Join a group of dedicated, passionate and diverse group of individuals that are putting this event together. Individuals with interests in publicity, event organizing, equipment management, public speaking, group coordination, graphic design, sponsorship follow ups and other activities which are associated with organizing this great event are welcomed. This is a great opportunity to give something back to the community and learn about logistics and event organizing related tasks.
We are also looking for volunteers on the race day. Individuals or groups are welcomed to help with setting up the race markers, timing, record keeping, registration tables, water stops, digital photography, first aid and award ceremony. There are great perks every year with volunteering and it’s a great experience.
